From Canvas to Wall

"I have never been using colours on my sketches that much, most of the time it was just losely drawn with a pencil and only if i had to see the lines in the dark they where sketched up with a black marker. Since the release of the One4AllZombie i will do 10 canvases in the size 125x35 together with a matching wall. Just to push myself and my skills but also to test out the markers and the spray next to each other." Marker i have been trying them on canvas here and there but never really in a to big format. Another project kicks off. With Soten from Copenhagen., Last year we met him very often to brainstorm new products. While one of these all night long product tests went down he said: "crazy how much products in the range you guys got to offer just for tagging, i need to do more handstyles and improve that, anyway where it is." Well, in Fact he is right, Molotow got the most various Marker range in the world. So we has offered him to go out and give it a test, to deploy our forces. That´s "Leave Your Mark." Fredericia Getdown

Ungdommens Hus (The House of the Youth) in Fredericia, Denmark hosted a big Getdown yesterday with writers from all over Denmark attending. Perfect location at an old railway station behind a freight yard, lots of wallspace, extremely nice sunny weather, good vibe and music supplied by DJ Tue Track made for a great Getdown. Plads Til Graffiti

"A few weeks ago a friendly battle took place in Copenhagen called Plads Til Graffiti (Space for graffiti). 10 walls was painted in the south part of Copenhagen called Sydhavnen. The winner was found by the writers themselves and the 1st prize of 5000 kroner (700 eu) went to the Toys Crew!"

Molotow TV x Carhartt Gallery

Kacao77 from Berlin, Soten from Copenhagen, Take2 from Melbourne and Toomer from Los Angeles stopped by the Carhartt Gallery (Weil/Rhein/Germany) due the Molotow and Friends Summer Tour 2009. Dare from Basel hosted a wall with them at the Carhartt Gallery and explain to Molotow TV in a few words whats the current exhibition "Public Provocations" is about and how he have choosen artists for that show. Molotow and Friends in Slovakia

The summer is all over Europe and this means its the season of big jams and big walls. The Molotow and Friends project were invited to attend the infamous Rendez Jam in Bratislava, Slovakia and came with four members from four different nations. Kacao77 from Berlin, Germany, Tloks from Los Angeles, California, Take 2 from Melbourne, Australia and Soten from Copenhagen, Denmark. The jam was a classic hiphop jam, set in the ghetto area of Batislava called Rendez and featured besides 2 big graffiti walls also breakdance, skateboarding, basketball and and very nice atmosphere. The Molotow and Friends team got together and did a Monkey Island wall in dedication to the Rendez area which is also called the Monkey Island by the locals! A big thanks to everyone that helped make it a great weekend in Bratislava and a special thanks to the Rendez Jam Team, Lars from Copenhagen and the Rooftop!
