Arunski & Poet - Artworks from Berlin
Arunski and Poet were born 1973 in West-Berlin. They have known each other since 1988, and they joined the infamous SOS crew back in the 90’ties. Poet has been an active writer since 1987, and after 22 years of Writing, is known for his wide range of different letter styles. Arunski painted his first piece on the Berlin Wall in 1986 and is also known as an active mc. In 2010 Arunski and Poet will team up again to paint a series of canvas artworks. Beside the regular Artworks, they will show you large sized masterworks with the focus being on different types of figures and characters. The Image of a Lego figure as a human Body, to tell certain storys, is inspired by their daily life in Berlin. Style Writing still plays a major role for them in their paintings, even if it’s not clearly visible at the first look. Within their work, you can find letters and the artists Names in all kinds of form and types. They try to find their own interpretation of StyleWriting, by mixing up different techniques and bring a distinctly european feel to their work. They work with the traditional Writing Tools such as spraycans and Markers, and even other materials, of course, MOLOTOW™ Premuim and the One4All™ markers are their favorite tools to work with.

"THIS PAINTING IS A PUZZLE, WHERE EVERY PART OF THE BODY HAVE THEIR OWN FUNKTION AND INTERPRETATION. THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE BODY SEEMED TO BE DESIGNED SEPERATED, WHILE IN FACT THEIR ARE CLOSED CONNECTED, LIKE IN REALITY YOU CAN FIND ADVICES TO SEVERAL PROBLEMATIC. FOR EXAMPLE OUR DEPENDENCY AND EXPLOTATION OF THE NATURE AND THE THIERD WORLD. MILITARY DOMINANCE AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH SECRET SOCIETYS AND THE FACT, THAT THE FACE OF YOUR ENEMY IS NEVER TRANSPARENT."
