La Grande Schmierâge - Southern Germany's biggest Graffiti meeting

The story behind the event that lasts several days, is the networking of the graffiti scene as well as the intention to create a lobby for this art which nowadays is seen as its implementation of Street Art more and more often in museums and galleries. After the huge success of the Schmierâge in 2007 and 2010, its third issue went down from June 22 - 24 of 2012. 60 writers and 250 m of wall add up to Germany's biggest Graffiti meeting. The event is organized by Stadtjugendring Ingolstadt, Fronte79, xhoch4 and Kulturwerk Ingolstadt, suported by MOLOTOW™. La Grande Schmierâge Website, Facebook

The Origins:
In June 2007 the first Schmierâge was held in Ingolstadt. The local hall of fame (railroad subway Unsernherrn, Klein-Salvator-Str.), released for Graffiti since 1995, was newly primed and styled by writers from all over Germany and Holland. Due to the huge public success, the organizers decided to reissue the event in 2010. The participation of 60 writers including internationally renowned writers like Loomit, SatOne, Wow123, Dems (Spain) and Suiko (Japan) made the second Schmierâge a great success.
