Deck Two

From motion design to illustration, VFX to storyboard, drawing to graffiti - I like to switch from computer to wall painting, and vice versa. This project was curated by Stroke, the annual urban art fair held in Berlin and Munich. I have been contacted by Marco, the founder, who invited me to paint this car. Afterwards it was made available to the visitors of the fair to ride to the most famous graffiti spots in the city.

I covered the car with tags and sketches using markers. I'm used to paint with MOLOTOW™ ONE4ALL for the quality of the paint which is very opaque and has a constant flow. I like to use different types of inks and to mix alcohol and acrylic on the same base. Then, I create contrasts with lighter colors. Usually I work with a detailed sketch before I start to paint but this car was painted without sketching anything before. I just followed the curves of the vehicle with a limited selection of colors which gave a sketch-like feel to the car. At the end, I like the spontaneity in this work and I am feeling reapproved once more that "accidents" often lead to more interesting tracks!
