This is the artist list of "One Foot in the Grove" organized by Mutate Britain, a 15000 square foot open air exhibition of Street Art, giant Sculpture and Installations, fully licensed for 1250 people, underneath the West Way Road Bridge next to Portobello Road, Ladbroke Grove, London. Following the success of their debut show ‘Behind the Shutters' at the infamous Cordy House

Since artists such as Futura 2000 and Mode 2 first painted the huge walls supporting the iconic West Way in the early 80s, they have been cited as a birthplace of British graffiti and street art culture. Almost 30 years later Street Art is a global artistic movement, rich with talent, diverse aesthetic styles and momentum sustained by passion. Now over 50 of its old school pioneers, infamous names and future masters are back to build a show that celebrates the depth and heritage of the movement. Expect surprise announcements to add to the mix of works by the artist seen in the list above. Just Taking Pictures

The Berlin based photographer JUST belongs to one of the most eminent photographers of the Graffiti and Street Art Movement. A little online portfolio you can find here.  In outstanding photographs JUST not only documents the highlights of Urban Art but also has been portraying artists who have, since he started around 10 years ago, become icons within the Urban Art scene.  The photographs showing artworks and artists from all over the world, like Faith47, Akim, Zevs, Evol, Daim, Boxi, Hera, C215, MadC,  Above, D*Face, Flying Förtress and many more. Here is the Flyer to download. For the first time he is presenting a selection of his best artist portraits and Street Art photographs in the Berlin based ATM gallery. Seak in Paris

Here we go, Seak got the first photos up on his website, see how the cologne based artist paints the highspeed train Thalys. Awesome to see how artists paint on trains legally at the Gare Du nord Station Paris.

Cope2 - Fine Lines

London Handstyles

Last week Hot110 saw the launch of a brand new London based graffiti book, London Handstyles. It’s a surprise that a city the size of London with such a rich graffiti culture going back to the 80s has only until recently had it’s own dedicated book. The exhibition itself was simple, no thrills - bombed wall to wall by writers with quotes and images from the book itself lining the walls of The Rarekind Gallery. Alcohol flowed to the beats of our own DJ Getz and others whilst the gallery filled with writers old and new and appreciators of the culture.

From October the 5th to the 9th 2009 the city of Lueneburg will be transformed into a public exhibition space for leading figures of the international Urban Art scene. Under the auspices of Leuphana University‘s Welcome Week, this urban art presentation will bring together a host of international artists, the University community and the municipality of Lueneburg.
