Invited by the arts- and culture society of Leutasch, the members of the group Hanau Radau came to the Leutasch valley in austria to attempt an astonishing art project: the design of a huge wall of pure snow, 3 m high and 25 m wide, especially built for this occasion. The idea behind this project was to bring an urban art form to the countryside, to use the contrast of municipal graffiti art and the alpine idyll of the Leutasch valley in order to create a unique piece of art. A minor aspect of the picture is that it will last only for a short time since it will melt with the arrival of spring.

„Hello everybody at MOLOTOW™

We´re back from the Alps and the tremendous amounts of snow there. It was thrilling experience to paint on such a perfectly prepared snow wall. The pictures we took show that nature contributed faster than we thought to our graffiti. But that makes sense in such an experiment – the interaction of sun, wind, and the coldness led to interessting new impressions and processes.
